- 1. Purpose of Program
- *********************
- The purpose of h2t is to convert HTML files that are used on the World
- Wide Web (WWW) to an easier readable text format, all the program does
- is it gets rid of all those annoying <title>, <header>, all that sort
- of stuff making it a lot easier to read.
-
-
-
- 2. Usage of Program
- *******************
- Using h2t is easy, just type h2t followed by the source HTML document, and
- then the output TEXT file. For example, the HTML file is called WWW.HTM
- and the output TEXT file will be called WWW.TXT, so at the C:> prompt you
- type 'h2t WWW.HTM WWW.TXT' followed by return and the program will get on
- with its job. The '>' characters that appear whilst the program is converting
- the file is a progress indicator, each arrow standing for 10% of the converted
- file. If you do not wish to convert an HTML file to a TEXT file you can also
- pipe the output to the screen by replacing the ouput text file with '|more'.
